 WEEK 6

Drainage and transplant

Place: ladang Agrotech plantation (UiTM Jasin)

Assalamualaikum, hi everyone Syazni Syairazi was here, back this project on week 6 where do activities such as making drainage, spraying plant boundaries and transplant.

The main drainage and drainage of the planting site well avoid the occurrence of stagnant water when it rains.

Depth of drainage 2 feet width.

This is hardest we do because we must be avoid water stagnant. For this challenge for this task is take so long and days by week to done for this drainage.

Before we transplant, we must spraying plant boundaries because flaky soil including disassemble the ground and level the boundary.

In the same week, our class transferred the plant from tray. Plants we use is okra vegetables and long beans .The plant transfer process was also taught by the staff of the farm management unit Mr. naim.

Challenge

The challenge we face this week 6 was to get the job done like transplant because does not follow lesson plan. And that less effective soil for this plant because this soil has been used many times for loose batch plants as well as hard form.

Second hot weather during the transplant.

*upah siram pokok RM460 untuk 8 hari

*1 tray =104 hole. 

104x14 tray = 1456 hole.

1456X3 = total 4368 hole

Lost cost:

- peat moss 1 bag : RM15

- duit pekerja : RM460

- seed: RM140 + RM51.20

= RM191.20

- duit minyak RM20x2 = RM40

total = RM706.20

Reflection

For this week the weather in Jasin is uncertain, sometimes it rains heavily and some is hot. I hope after this this weather can be fine for this continues this work and get successful results.
